Blizzard Embellish [BB281]
Netball caller, Liz Ellis is hiding in our Birdbrain title – BLIZZARD EMBELLISH – where her first name is plucked from the first word, and surname from the second. In the same style, ANTICHRIST JUDDERING hides Chris Judd. So now setting your sights upon the sixteen words below, can you reveal eight notable names? Words can come from any line. Only three of the eight are Australian.
approval brilliance chaperone charisma
charter fluidity frankincense gardenia
inevitable jungle machines matador
parsimony scarlet stamina tarpaulin
Can you dream any more?
SOLUTION NEXT WEEK
BB280 SOLUTION: ONE-way street, hit wonder, horse town, track mind, night stand, piece swimsuit, day cricket, trick pony, child policy, sided contest, armed bandit, stop shop(ping). So what other ONES fit the bill?

My third Australian name required a bit of lateral thinking - an example of the 'only see what you expect to see' trap.

dg - apologies for the spam-jam. Not sure why your 'quadricep abigail' message was hoicked by the system. Possibly due to its surface gibberish, with due respect!
(Always let me know when this occurs, as I need to duck down the domain's backroom to tweak the right toggle.)
PS, can you now clarify what we need to do with your 'finnish cantaloupe'? I presume find celebs like aTOMized tHANKSgiving, ala the Birdbrain challenge, but am sure all DAbblers would like to have that confirmed.
dg — 25 October at 12:02PM
Exactly! It's the same as yours - hidden first names and surnames combined a la Liz Ellis
Mr X — 25 October at 12:07PM
Flipsock - third Australian name ? I only had 2 Aussies - unless you're counting the titular Ms Ellis
DA — 25 October at 12:17PM
Quite right, X. The nationality tally, with a real Spoiler Alert attached, is:
3 Oz (inc Ms Liz)
1 Scot
1 Netherlander
1 Swiss
1 Argie
and 1 Ugandan
(As for dg's encore Birdbrain - TBA.)
dg — 25 October at 12:19PM
there seems to be an Ozzie artist, singer and socialite. But, DA, did you make a mistake?
DA — 25 October at 12:35PM
We have an Aussie artist - plus an Aussie singer, no? (With Liz the example.)
Or did you spot a blue?
dg — 25 October at 01:25PM
Does 'brilliance' hide Lillian?
DA — 25 October at 01:27PM
Negative.

Ah-hah. I had a different interpretation of "fluidity stamina" (which I now realise was a US product name, not the Australian one that was released at around the same time). Silly me. Of course, the intended answer was Idi Amin, not TamiFlu!
