Hear & Ether [BB331]
We’ve converted nine pairs of common opposites (like here/there) into homophone and anagram (hear/ether), or vice versa (such as peach/deer for cheap/dear).
So, using the couple clues below, can you roam your vocab here and there to unmask the entire bunch? (Just remember, that the homophone or the anagram may come first.) And if you happen to be feeling creative, can you crank out a few pairings of your own in the forum?
- Lowest prime/coin hole
- Uncooked/fragment
- Embark/fragment
- Waves/creek
- Bunk/despised
- Slow/sword
- Pursued/referee
- Pretence/dross
- Ignites/balance

Not quite sure if we're to follow the examples in the intro or to provide synonyms which I'm guessing are illustrated in the clues ...
For #8 I was wondering about guys and gals, homophone for a synonym of pretence and an anagram of a synonym for dross?
