I Came, I Saw, I Sinned [BB339]

I’m thinking of nine well-known blokes who own the first name, Dennis. Their surnames suggest a rabbit, a tapestry worker, a scam artist and two anglers, possibly. Of the others, one’s a square when losing an I, one’s a horse on dropping an L, and the other two sound like a flower, plus a word for watchful. How many of these diverse Dennises can you name?
SOLUTION NEXT WEEK
BB338 SOLUTION: Pitiable (tibia), perfume (femur), granule (ulna), encapsulate (scapula), menstrual (sternum), sultana (talus, or anklebone)

3 actors from a non film buff, not bad for me.

Potter (a la Beatrix)
No Thatcher? I'm shocked!

RobT: Not sure which one you think is matching with Potter. I thought of Thatcher, too... but his first name is 'Denis'.
Hmm. For that matter, the same objection applies to what I thought the 'watchful' answer was. Bother!
I've got all but the horse (and watchful, perhaps). Aside from the three given by Criseyde, there's another actor and three sportsmen.

Following Geoff's tips, is Waterman the actor/angler?
Got the flower/sportsman.

And the scam artist/sportsman and angler/sportsman.

Criseyde: I'm assuming it is Waterman, anyway. :)
