Spoon Marathon [BB297]
We’ve spoonerised FOURTEEN pairs of opposites, creating 28 nonsense words. SLOW and FAST, say, make FOW and SLAST. Supplied just one of these odd outcomes, can you intuit the nonsense word missing, and thereby restore the original two opposites? Given YOLD, say, you may dredge up UNG to create old/young.

15. crick = slass?
Are 'hold' and 'cot' out due to legibility?
SK — 13 February at 02:42PM
Nib, "crick" is close to DA's heart (and perhaps supplements rather than true opposites...)
Eld Jaws Anon — 13 February at 09:38PM
Nib, I think what would qualify as normal words ought to be in; sometimes I do that myself in spormal neech where the resultant is a normal word.
Assuming hold/cot are in, then how about these extras:
17. uown
18. light
19. sand
JPR — 14 February at 03:15PM
SK's 'crick' goes with 'quyptic' methinx

Is 19's partner 'lea'?

HINT: Over-the-shoulder morality?
Eld Jaws Anon — 16 February at 11:23AM
Yes, Alec, 19's partner is definitely "lea", and as hints 17's is dup, and 18's is reft (though I'm sure you all got those)
Nib — 16 February at 12:39PM
24. Degel
DA — 16 February at 12:54PM
Nib, surely that's evell and daynjel, or something in that fonetic ballpark.
Anvil? That's a forgery.
Nib — 18 February at 12:09PM
Hmm, I would consider Evil to be the forgery, as there is no letter from Angel that has been swapped into its opposite in that move.
