Feel the sunbeams? Just a tad more warmth in the wings, or is my thermostat still out of whack after Bali? Either way, as spring nears, so do rain events, and the influx of fresh water – we hope. For evidence, just look at these nine answers, all of which contain H2O – or HHO – consecutively.

Is your 21 the root of Boniface's 11?
Sam — 17 July at 02:08PM
doh, but does that make your 17: SH, Criseyde?
Criseyde — 17 July at 02:26PM
Sam, Yes, your planets are aligned. Could go on but it's a giveaway after one, I reckon.
SK — 17 July at 02:53PM
Oops, didn't see Bon's 11.
Speaking of withholding, does anybody know why threshold (which similarly seems to be a two word combo) has only one h?
Sam — 17 July at 03:39PM
Interesting question SK – perhaps it isn’t a compound word in origin? Maybe a question for Kate Burridge!
Criseyde — 17 July at 07:57PM
Sam and SK, I wondered about threshold too which occurred to me re 'on the trail', thinking of 'on the verge'.
Still none the wiser about 19 and 20.
One-word water-loggers are elusive.
