Where B+Eagles Dare [BB321]
If B + bird = dog (that is, B + EAGLE = BEAGLE), can you figure out our other equations? No
mixing is needed. The last two entail obscurer creatures that only Scrabble addicts, or doctors of zoology are likely to muster. And while you’re wrangling, can you think of any other furred, finned or feathered candidates that belong in this pack?
- W + reptile = insect
- F + mammal = mammal
- F + bird = bird
- B + mammal = fish
- T + seabird = seabird
- S + seabird = seabird
- L + mammal = reptile

have the first four I think ending in:
...p
...x
...s
...l
and came up with another:
T + tropical bird = bird

I have the same as same for (1) and (2), but a different (3). It will be interesting to see how many different possibilities are uncovered for the same clue.

I think Sam might have entered his answers for 3 and 4 ass-about.

@LP, good to put a monogram to a loiterer. If traffic counters are any guide, the blog enjoys plenty of wilful lurking, with chatroom contributions just a few clicks away.) Welcome.

T + tropical bird = hornbill/thornbill
