Word of the Week: Cahier
CAHIER [kar-yay] – a meeting’s written report; a writer’s notebook. [From French via Latin – quaternis, set of four, as a pamphlet was commonly made of four folded sheets.] Hemingway try-hards long to haunt the Left Bank with Gauloise and cahier.
