News Clues 4

25 November, 2011

As soon as you see STUMP-CAM sitting inside PAT CUMMINS, you know the kid is built for ferocious bowling, and a sweet cryptic clue: Quickie smashed in stump-cam

Though maybe you can better that tack, or cook up a fine clue for any of these newsy names and titles. You have the option of including a definition or not, whichever suits your gambit. Though if you could signal the clue’s solution by opening with the relevant initials, that would be grand.

Here’s our latest lot, ripe for your treatment. Choose which ever name appeals to the Muse, and major bragging rights for the seven best come day’s end:

  1. Pat Cummins

  2. Dolly Parton

  3. Barack Obama

  4. Princess Mary

  5. Moneyball

  6. Peter Slipper

  7. Kyle Sandilands
