Approbation

1 October, 2012

Appologies for the uncustomary haste in this report. I feel as though the Appraisal Storm was last Appril, especially as holidays tore at least two regulars away, and we have moved on, appropriately. But not without appointing applause to the desktop’s best cluers. First to the two compulsory games:

App Sap won this in a snap, with 11 points (4 votes), beating World of Goo (9/5) and Landline (8/3) for this ANGRY BIRDSDark streets going both ways?

Joint honours to Chrome (8/3) and Goo (ditto) for WORDS WITH FRIENDS. Chrome first: Chilling showdown with swordplay. Compared to a Goo’s elegant: Wordsmith, flipping M, has MATES

In the open market, the approval was afforded to Twitter (16/5) for a dazzling anagram involving PLANTS VERSUS ZOMBIES: Distributed vast sums with Nobel prizes.

Next best was Bounce (11/3) for SKYPE: Pesky glitch in videolink. Followed by App Sap (9/3) for their devilish SHAZAM: Risk taking off-road? Secure by use of chains, perhaps.

So who wins? Here in the showroom, App Sap can brag 20 points, edging out Goo on 17. But don’t discount Twitter’s application, who just missed the open vote for an 8/3 FACEBOOK (Honour bets) granting the twitty one a stellar 24 points for just two approaches. And that’s worth approbation in anyone’s chatroom. Yours, Bejeweled.
