Au Contraire
9 October, 2013
For a bit of fun, let’s think contrarily, converting a phrase, a name or a title. For example, heavy going would be light coming (slog), while Peter Pan could be switched into Swell Praise (character), or Falsely, Sanely, Superficially (movie) camouflages Truly, Madly, Deeply.
Look around you. Some names and phrases are tailor-made for subverting. Make the switch and provide a (clue in brackets). No prizes. Just a bit of fun in this shrinking cold. Sorry, swelling heat.
If you need a brain-zapper, here’s my opening quartet:
DA1 – Encourage on (steal)
DA2 – Blue Hands (movie)
DA3 – Hit sweet (dessert)
DA4 – Develop finale (profession)
What you got?
