Pinhead

31 March, 2012

Back from the Yarra Ranges, with sunburn, leech lesions and tribal fern scratches as proof. Sounds like hell, right? Wrong – the outlying mountains of Warburton are a marvel to explore, with lyrebirds agogo, crystal creeks and Lindsayesque arbours every where you tramp. A much needed spell away, and hoped you enjoyed those tricky Summer clues. (The answers of the last instalment are below.)

Anyhow, before tomorrow’s usual Birdbrain, what about a spot of Pinhead? This cute link is sent along by Geoff Bailey, a mate of this blog, who came across these puzzling pix just recently. Like our latest Conundrum – or Ophelia’s Textropolis app – there’s a geographical flavour to this challenge, but in cool and vivid vein.

In fact, check out more of Winston Breen’s imagination as there’s plenty to enjoy, both in aesthetic and puzzilicious ways. So ta to Geoff, have fun with the pinboard, and g'luck pincering your answers.

SUMMER 3 ANSWERS: Hepatic, spinach, courthouse, tsk tsk, glossaries (my clue of the season), telephone booth, supergiant, don’t give up your day job
