Riddle, *Sarcasm* & Poll

12 December, 2012

Mixed post today, as there are several snippets to report. The first is a riddle, where the first person to offer the right answer – or the shrewdest guess – will win the new UK edition of Puzzled. So what’s the riddle – quite simple on the surface: WHAT LAKE CAN FLY? Deadline is Thursday 5pm, a mini-Storm to accompany our murder mystery.

Second snippet: how do you best convey sarcasm in a text or tweet? AS from DA Trippers has suggested inverted question marks, but that’s no doddle on an iPhone. Asterisks is another ploy. Or the emoticon road. I’m leaning to italics (boom-tish) but these can be tricky to install as well… So?

Third – I’ve whacked in a new poll to trial, with a silly question about endearments. If we can all give this gadget a whirl (lower down, right margin), we’ll know if this software is a keeper, or we still have some teething pains. Thanks.

OBVS I'm fine with it
Entrenched stuff - like LOL and OMG - but no more.
