Salon 20 - Change of Heart

23 June, 2014

Back in the word cave this week, after a soulful and successful solstice event, supporting the Survivors of Suicide. Should the topic intersect with your own life, I can recommend the immense support and breadth of this remarkable blog, curated by one of our event’s speakers, Alison Fairleigh. (Especially loved the mini-doco, Harvest of Sorrow on the site – seek it out.)

Taking a turn for the upbeat, let’s have a change of heart today. A triple change in fact. Choose a five-letter word that can have three different centre letters, such as PAGER, PACER, PAPER – and then try to clue the trio. Here’s a few to get you going:

DA1Abandon coop wedge
DA2Seaside seat indiscretion
DA3Stun spud profiteer?
DA4God’s harem aroused?

Yes, I am sure about the (5,5,5) counts. Sorry about that TETHERING flub the other week. And apols too for the spam surge lately. Please hang in there, as I’m seeking to sort that snag out soon. In the meantime, can you solve my heart-changers, or make your own?

Also aiming for Times #55 today, powering on to those elusive three figures. Join the Tally’s second half. Some lovely clues last week, inc Goal for neither side (9)
