I’m stuck. On two fronts. (At least!) And thought the collective smarts of the Dabbler Federation may come to the rescue:
Anax sent a clue across the Twitterverse this morning, and I’m still grappling to find the recipe, or solution. Here we go: Foul after potting red/brown in snooker (9)
The phrase, silence is golden has set me to fossicking for any word where SH (silence) can be swapped by Au (gold) to create a new word or name. Can’t dig up one! Can you?
Of course, if silence is P (which is really more to do with quiet), then you can see EAU turn into EP, but that’s pretty lame. There must be a better couple to uncover…! Am I being dense, or are the pickings super-sparse? (That’s a rhetorical question.)
